Place: Springdale, Newfoundland
Natasha Henstridge

Natasha Henstridge was born in Springdale, Newfoundland, Canada and raised in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada.
At the age of 14, she left home to begin her modelling career in the highly-competitive Paris fashion world. She landed her first cover on French Cosmopolitan when she was only 15 and has since graced the covers of many international fashion magazines.
She also appeared in commercials for such products as Lady Stetson, Oil of Olay and Old Spice.
While modeling in France gave Natasha the recognition she deserved as a beautiful woman, she quickly became bored by her job and did not feel that she was being challenged enough. She sought something more exciting and presented herself with a new creative challenge: acting. Blurring the lines between acting and modeling, Natasha's first role was in the science fiction feature film, Species. The role of Sil, the alien in a woman's body trying to get pregnant in order to reproduce her alien species, still demanded a beautiful face and figure, both of which Natasha possessed. She was chosen among over 100 other hopefuls, and although she was one of the less experienced women to audition, she succeeded in portraying her seductive yet evil character.

Buddy Wasisname and The Other Fellers

Kevin Blackmore, aka Buddy Wasisname, is a madman on stage and according to Billboard Magazine writer Larry LeBlanc is famous for "leaving audiences breathless with laughter". This, would you believe, is an entertainer who was too shy to join his high school drama club.

Wayne Chaulk is a man with a burden we'd all like to have - too much talent. His head is chinched full of words that keep coming out in the nicest way. Wayne's environment blessed him from day one. He was born and grew up down by the water. He still lives within clear sight of a splendid array of saltwater joys.

Raymond John Johnson is a truly unique artist with a very interesting story. He is a gentle soul who started life as an orphan. At age five he was adopted by his foster parents, Johnny and Bridget Johnson, of Jobs Cove, Conception Bay, and grew up in that small outport where the dialect is never quite sure what to do with "r"s.

Place: Grand Falls Newfoundland

An icon in the Canadian entertainment industry, this Newfoundland-born actor and writer has participated in all manners of entertainment - including stage, radio, television and film. He left Newfoundland at the age of 17 and began his career on stage. He confessed that he lied to get his first role. He ended up in Winnipeg, where he found himself gravitating toward the Winnipeg Repertory Theatre. His previous experience was lacking - he'd had a job in commercial art, done some portraits and taught dancing at Arthur Murray's. He watched a play one night and when he remained behind, theatre owner Leena Lovegrove invited him to come by for a reading. When offered a small role (4 lines) of a doctor, Gordon declined, brashly declaring he'd only travel into town for a lead role. He was given the chance to read and he got that role, as well as that of Sebastian in Twelfth Night.
